Eastern Carolina Council (ECC) is pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming

Grant Writing Workshop on September 29th & 30th, 2026, at the ECC offices in New Bern.

Whether your organization is new to pursuing grants or looking to strengthen its success rate, this highly interactive workshop provides practical tools that participants can immediately apply to real funding opportunities.

Led by Tara Kunkel, MSW, Founder and Executive Director of Rulo Strategies and former Senior Drug Policy Advisor with the U.S. Department of Justice, this workshop draws on years of experience as both a federal grant maker and grant reviewer.

Participants will gain valuable insight into how competitive applications are evaluated and what separates funded proposals from those that fall short.

Workshop Schedule:  Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (on-site lunch) 

                                         Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

ECC Members: $350.00

Non-Members: $400.00

Class is limited to 30 people.

Registration includes participant materials, workbooks, on-site lunch on day one, and snacks both days.
