The Administrative Services Department is responsible for the overall administration of Eastern Carolina Council. This includes a growing budget, human resources, establishing and maintaining relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials, marketing, public relations, etc.
As a local government in NC, the Council is subject to legislation requiring financial management in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting principles. Working within an annual budget ordinance, Finance manages and reports for a variety of grants from a variety of sources, Federal, State, and Local monies as well as private funds.
The Administrative Services Department can facilitate the manager recruitment and interview process for governing boards - ECC recently assisted the Town of Newport with its manager search. And, the Administrative Services Department is a resource for managers and clerks across our region.
