Greene County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) 2012
The Greene County Comprehensive Transportation Plan was developed as a joint effort between Greene County, the municipalities of Hookerton, Walstonburg, Snow Hill, the Eastern Carolina RPO, and NCDOT. The goal of the study is to produce a long range transportation plan for Greene County that will assist its elected officials and transportation decision makers for the next 25-30 years. The CTP involves analysis and recommendations for highway projects as well as pedestrian, bicycle, and public transit improvements. The Greene County CTP was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 6, 2012 and by Hookerton and Walstonburg on February 7, 2012. The Town of Snow Hill adopted the CTP on March 1, 2012 and the Eastern Carolina RPO endorsed the CTP on March 15, 2012. The NC Board of Transportation adopted the CTP on July 12, 2012.
