Congratulations to Onslow County Senior Services!
The Division of Aging and Adult Services and Eastern Carolina Council – Area Agency on Aging are pleased to announce that Onslow County Senior Services senior center has been recertified as a Senior Center of Excellence. This certification is based on the onsite visit conducted Monday, June 19, 2017 and is valid for five years, from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2022.
A Center of Excellence means Onslow County Senior Services provides exemplary services and opportunities to their communities and serve as mentors and models to developing centers. The site review team consisted of a representative from NC Division of Aging and Adults Services, Eastern Carolina Council Area Agency on Aging, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Center for Aging Research and Education Services (CARES) Jordan Institute for Families, two senior center directors from NC and the Onslow County Senior Tar Heel Legislature delegate.
